So it's been roughly a month and a half since I've posted a real journal entry instead of my rather obtuse ones. I might as well as put in some effort this time and write an actual update.

Work

Work just seems to be getting more and more hectic lately. Over the last 2 months my work load has increased by at least 25% and I do not think it will reduce anymore over the next 6 to 8 months. It would help if I actually had a staff but because of the fact we've not been meeting our quarterly ROI figures there isn't enough in my budget to hire at least 2 to 3 more people which would cost a great deal of money. It's getting to the monotonous routine of wake up, go to work, try and kill 9 hours, go home, and do fuck all. I'm not liking it one bit, I thought at this point in my life there would be something actually worth while coming home too but since =Darkfiend90 is not here yet that's been difficult.

Personal

Personal lifestyle wise I've not been doing so hot, combine the stress of work with the situations concerning my fiancé and it just gets to be one big gigantic shit festival. I miss Ashleigh a great deal and she's been having to deal with some unruly situations and I have no idea what to do, combine the fact I had to fight with the USCIS for awhile and it just seems like shit gets more and more dark. We've worked very hard to maintain our relationship over the last year and (almost) 2 months and I'd hate for it all to go to shit now because of some petty bureaucratic bullshit and other issues I will not disclose publicly, I love her too much to let that all go to dust. I've also been developing a more increasingly apparent lethargic attitude about everything. Personal projects aren't getting done, I haven't done any artwork in months and my other personal responsibilities seem to be on the decline again. It seems like when I get home all I want to do is just disappear from the world and be done with it, granted I'd rather be with Ashleigh and I really wish I could but there's just no way to do it given the fact I can't get a 2 week vacation and I ethically and professionally will not quit simply because that would be running away from my professional obligations to the company and the fact that the IT sector has been utter shit since the 2001 bubble burst so I'd rather not go between 6 months to 2 years trying to find another job while jumping from consultation contract to consultation contract.

I'm trying to get back into the pace of things to keep myself occupied but it's been hard to get back on track. Thankfully my good close friends (=cel3131, `yashachan, *awellis, *Prima-Donna etc) have been helping me get through the day and one of *awellis' business partners did a fantastic job on a contract I hired them to do for my personal site so I'm hoping that will give me some drive to do something when I get home from work but I don't know yet, we'll see what the next few weeks bring. In any case I'm going to eat my dinner and veg out with some movies I purchased today at the store and relax so I can try and get more sleep then I've gotten in the last week.
